The Ministry of Civil Affairs has issued regulations for the distribution of relief materials donated to the quake-stricken areas.
The ministry says the distribution of relief goods to any area will depend on the degree of the disaster, the level of damage, the number of evacuees and the special needs of people, especially senior citizens, women and children. Every transaction will be recorded, with authorities required to sign when receiving any aid.
The use of funds to purchase relief goods will be made public through the Ministry of Finance. Auditing authorities have also dispatched special personnel to the quake-hit region to monitor the entire process.
