More than 700 prefabricated houses are being built in Longnan city of northwestern China's Gansu Province for the postponed National College Entrance Examination.
Xinhua News Agency reported on Thursday that such special rooms are prepared to ensure safety during the exam in the quake-hit areas of the province.
The National College Entrance Examination was held from June 7 to 9 in most of China. But around 100,000 quake-affected students in 40 counties in Sichuan and 17 cities, counties and urban districts in Gansu were granted a grace period considering the physical and psychological effects from the massive tremor.
The postponed exam will be held from July 3 to the 5th.
