A set of three special stamps on the 10th anniversary of
Hong Kong's return to China was issued on Sunday in Shenzhen, south
China's Guangdong Province.
According to China Post, the first stamp, titled "celebration",
is designed to show the successful practice of "one country, two
systems" in Hong Kong. Pictures of China's national flag, Hong
Kong's regional flag and Bauhinia are printed on it.
The second stamp, named "cooperation", shows closer economic and
trade relations between Chinese mainland and Hong Kong after the
Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA) was signed. The
stamp bears the letters of CEPA and pictures of Huanggang Port.
The third stamp of "prosperity" is made to show that Hong Kong
has maintained prosperity and stability after it overcame various
difficulties. The picture of Hong Kong International Finance Center
is printed on it.
The price of the stamp set is 3.9 yuan (US$0.51).
On the same day, Hong Kong Post also released a special stamp on
the 10th Anniversary, with the same design as the "celebration"
stamp of China Post's set. The price of the stamp is HK$1.4.
