The 10th Beijing International Music Festival closed Friday
night with a magnificent concert given by Chinese pianist Lang
Lang, French conductor Christoph Eschenbach and Orchestra de Paris
in Beijing's Poly Theatre.
The classical pieces performed by the artists, including
Tchaikovsky's "Piano Concerto No.1 in B flat minor" and Gustav
Mahler's "Symphony No. 1 in D major", won thunderous applause from
the audience.
Christoph Eschenbach, also Lang Lang's former teacher, played
Mozart's "Concerto for Two Pianos No.10 in E flat major" together
with Lang Lang.
During the month-long music festival, 67 artists and 15 art
