Chinese mainland and Taiwan have completed 438 cultural exchange
programs in the first 10 months of 2007, according to Chinese
Ministry of Culture here Tuesday.
Among the 438 programs, 214 were programs organized by the
mainland and held in Taiwan and 224 were programs organized by
Taiwan and held on the mainland.
These exchanges programs, such as the Taiwan ink painter Huang
Kuang-Nan's exhibition held from Aug. 11 to Aug. 23 in Beijing,
have enhanced mutual understanding between the two sides of the
Taiwan Strait, sources with the ministry said.
