Wall calendars, which used to be decent seasons gift to a
friend, have unceremoniously receded from the city's consumer
market.
The Yantai Daily has reported that Xinhua Bookstores in
the city's urban area have stopped selling them completely.
A calendar vendor in Yantai, east China's Shandong province,
told the newspaper that few buyers have come to her for wall
calendars despite their low price at around only 7 or 8 yuan.
Wall calendars are no longer considered a must in their daily
life as many new digital devices can do the work better and
easier.
