Earlier this week, Taiwanese pop singer Rene Liu visited
Shanghai to promote her upcoming national tour that starts in
Shanghai on March 1.
Liu chose Shanghai as the first stop because "Shanghai audiences
are especially kind so I could get flattered here before going
anywhere else."
Liu often sings about the emotions and struggles of modern young
women.
She first gained fame as an actress and has played roles in
films, dramas and TV series.

Liu's concerts are always more like a musical drama with
featured themes. Her last concert two years ago featured the
"lonely night of a single princess."
This time, her national tour is themed "sleepwalking" because
she wants to take all her fans on an escape from the stresses and
noise of reality to a land of dreams in her concert.
The 38-year-old singer and actress is still single and is often
asked about her private life. Liu said that she enjoyed her present
status.
After her tour she is to enjoy a six-month
break.
