His next goal is to update "Journey to the West", the story about a monk and his four disciples's long journey to India against all odds in search of Buddhist scripts.

The role of the monkey king was played by Liu Xiao Ling Tong in the 1980s version. But Zhang said he will break new ground, and the characters in his version will be less divine and more human. His search for actors has begun.
