The Olympic spirit is being carried to one of the most venerated sites in all of China. Beijing's old imperial resort, the Summer Palace is hosting an exhibition highlighting Olympic collections. In one, the Palace's smaller halls are Olympic torches, stamps and souvenirs.
The red scroll bears the signatures of everyone on the park's staff. It was a gesture marking Beijing's winning bid for the Olympic Games back in 2001.
The exhibition also showcased various Olympic badges. The highlights are stamps and envelopes from the first games of the Modern Olympics back in 1896.
