Tom Cruise sent Nicole Kidman "a room full of flowers" to congratulate her on the birth of her baby. The actress delivered her first biological child on Monday and her ex-husband was one of the first to get in touch to pass on good wishes to her and husband Keith Urban.
A source revealed to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Nicole and Keith are besotted with the baby. Nicole wants to be a very hands-on mum and has shunned all offers of help.
She has had hundreds of bouquets of flowers from well-wishers. "Tom was one of the first people to get in touch and he sent her enough flowers to fill a room. "Even Australia's Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, sent a hand-written note." Meanwhile, Nicole is reportedly set to be planning a baptism for her new daughter, Sunday Rose, which will take place in her home city of Sydney, Australia in September.
The same priest who married the 'Golden Compass' actress and the country singer will preside over the ceremony. Father Paul Coleman said he is "very happy" to baptise the infant, saying: "I am delighted at the birth of Keith and Nicole's child and I will be very happy to baptise and christen her. "It's a beautiful name and I am thrilled and pleased for them both.
They deserve every happiness and joy after trying so hard for this baby they really wanted." Nicole has two adopted children, Isabella, 15, and Connor, 13, with Tom. Tom also has a daughter, two-year-old Suri, with wife Katie Holmes.
