The world renowned Los Angeles Philharmonic will make its long-awaited Hong Kong debut with music director Esa-Pekka Salonen in October, a government press release said Thursday.
According to the press release from the Information Services Department of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government, the orchestra will perform two shows at the Cultural Center, featuring world-acclaimed pianist Yefim Bronfman doing Tchaikovsky 's Piano Concerto No.1 and Stravinsky's Fireworks and The Firebird on Oct. 29.
Oct. 30 will see the orchestra play Falla's 3 Dances from El Amor Brujo, Debussy's La Mer and Ravel's Ma Mere l'Oye and Bolero.
