During her 70-minute concert, the Canadian star sung many of her hits, including "Girlfriend", "I Can Do Better" "I'm With You" and "I always Get What I Want". Avril also displayed her musical abilities by playing guitar, piano, and drums. She even managed to stun her audience with a side flip as she made her exit following her second song, according to "The Beijing Times".
At once the concert had to be halted for minutes because over-excited audience members were striding over the guard rail protecting the stage, the newspaper said. But the singer was soon able to soothe her fans by singing two light love ballads.
Avril said this is her first time in Beijing and the night was special as it was her last leg on her world tour. She thanked her fans for coming to the show.
The star also invited two children from China's earth-quake ravaged Sichuan province to her show and presented them with gifts such as T-shirts and autographs. Part of her concert proceeds will be donated to help poverty stricken children.
Avril Lavigne's "Best Damn Tour 2008" has been to major Chinese cities including Shanghai, Guangzhou and Macau.
