Alicia Keys has been nominated for five accolades at the American Music Awards.
The "No One" singer will battle Coldplay, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown and the Eagles for the prestigious Artist of the Year award at the ceremony to be held in Los Angeles on November 23.
Alicia has also been nominated in the Female Artist and Album categories in the Pop/Rock section and Female Artist and Album in the Soul/Rhythm and Blues section.
As well as competing against Alicia in the Artist of the Year category and the Pop/Rock Album section, British band Coldplay -- who received worldwide acclaim for their latest LP "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends" -- will battle the Foo Fighters and Linkin Park for Alternative Rock Artist and the Eagles and Daughtry in the Pop/Rock Band, duo or group category.
The American Music Awards will be broadcast live on US TV, and will feature performances from the Jonas Brothers - who are nominated for the Breakthrough Artist award - Pink and New Kids On The Block.
