Britney Spears will perform her new single "Womanizer" on "Good Morning America" on her birthday.
The 26-year-old singer - who was recently videoed practising a dance routine for 'Womanizer' complete with a whip - will appear live on the US TV show on December 2, the day her new album "Circus" is released.
A source close to the singer told the New York Post newspaper: "Everybody wanted Britney - she was the big get - but 'Good Morning America' and ABC outfoxed 'The Today Show' and NBC. NBC are fuming about losing Britney."
Britney reportedly hasn't decided whether to do an interview on the show, as she thinks her upcoming MTV special sufficiently covers her troubles over the past two years.
"Womanizer" is already causing a storm in the US, after topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart when downloads of the track exceeded 286,000 in its first week of release.
The success of the single makes it the first number one song for Britney in the US since her 1999.
