More than 10,000 fans gathered at pop sensation Jay Chou's concert in Toronto on Friday, turning it into a heated bash of passion and cheers.
It was the first time for Jay Chou, one of the most popular singer-songwriters on the mando-pop scene, to take his concert tour to the Canadian city where large overseas Chinese communities have settled.
Toronto is the last overseas stop on Chou's world tour after the ones already held in Japan, Singapore, Los Angeles, and major Chinese mainland cities through this year.
At the concert, Chou sang the most popular songs from his previous albums, including the latest chart-topping hit "Dao Xiang" ("Fragrance of the Paddy").
The enthusiam of the fans surged to a climax when Chou jumped onto a large sound box in front of the stage.
Chou, also a basketball fanatic, said he was excited to watch a Toronto Raptors game the day before in the same venue where he performed.
