Amy Winehouse insists she is not "out of control".
The "Rehab" singer has dismissed reports her erratic behaviour is infuriating fellow guests at the St. Lucia resort where she has been holidaying since last month and says has never felt better.
She told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "People think I'm a mess or something but I'm having such a great time and feeling so good.
"I'm not out of control. Yes I've had a few drinks but I'm on holiday - I'm just young and having fun.
"I'm getting loads of exercise, eating brilliantly and I've really been able to relax. I wasn't really eating properly with everything going on, but it's different now."
Amy is having such a good time on holiday, she admits she is unsure when she will return to the UK.
She explained: "I want a bit more peace and quiet, away from the cameras. I'm in the best place I've been in ages. I'm looking forward to the future."
Earlier this week, it was reported Amy - whose jailed husband Blake Fielder-civil has filed for divorce - had taken to stealing drinks from fellow holidaymakers after hotel staff refused to serve her, but the 25-year-old star insists the stories are "ridiculous".
She added: "It's a shame people judge me on every picture someone sends back home. If I wanted a drink, there's plenty of other places. It's ridiculous."
