U2 have crowned the UK album chart for the 10th time in their career with "No Line On The Horizon."
The achievement makes the rock band one of the top five album chart acts of all time, says the Official Chart Company.
U2 are joint third along with Madonna and the Rolling Stones, but Elvis Presley and The Beatles still have more UK number one albums to their credit.
Despite U2's success in the album chart, the lead single on their 12th studio album continued to slide, two weeks after failing to make the top 10.
Their 2006 singles compilation, U218, continued to climb back up the chart from number 39 to 17.
The Irish band still have some way to go before they equal the all-time record of 15 number ones set by Elvis Presley.
The Beatles, at two in the list, scored 11 number one UK albums during their career.
U2's first chart-topper came in 1983 with "War," while their most recent success was with "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb" in 2006.
