Latin American art is another highlight this spring. U.S. galleries Hardcore Art, Beaux Art and the Columbian gallery of Luis Guillermo Moreno are displaying characteristically colorful and unconstrained Latin American works. One canvas by Columbian artist German Botero is priced at 1.4 million dollars.

Other notable pieces include furniture, clothes and toys created by young designers such as Ban Mu, Wang Yang and Lin Jing.

Background:

The Shanghai Spring Art Salon was initiated by the Shanghai Spring International Art Salon Co. Ltd. and the Shanghai Oil Painting & Sculpture Institute in 2003. Nearly 700 galleries and other institutions from China and around the world have attended the salon.
