Young artists from China as well as a dozen other countries including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Canada, and the United States, are getting ready to join the Angel International Art Festival for Children. It will be held in Beijing from July 25-28.
It will feature Chinese calligraphy, ink paintings, seal cuttings, watercolors, oil paintings, prints, paper-cuts, sculptures, cartoons and computerized graphics, that will be judged by a panel of scholars, veteran educators and renowned artists.
There will also be awards for fashion designing, and outstanding performances of dances, local operas and instruments, says Ren Yajing, a key organizer, along with the Ministry of Education. In early August, the 30 award-winning children will get to participate in an international art exchange program in Los Angeles and Washington.
