Dinosaurs will return this summer in a true-to-life manner.
"Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs", the third installment of 20th Century Fox's animated fantasy franchise, will be released in China next month in 3D-only format, The Hollywood Reporter cited a Fox representative as saying Tuesday.
"We are hoping for a July 9 release, one week after the U.S. release," the rep said. She says "Ice Age" will be the first 3D-only film released nearly simultaneously with its release in the West.
The film will then become the fifth 3D movie imported by China, following its successful predecessors including "Journey to the Center of the Earth" and "Bolt".
The next 3D release is likely to be Pixar's "Up", the opening film for this year's Cannes Film Festival.
China currently has more than 200 3D screens.
