Zhu Yingren, one of Chinese most distinguished modern flower-bird painters, will host his solo exhibition at the National Art Museum of China this Sunday.
Born in 1930 in Changshu, Jiangsu Province, Zhu was trained at Hangzhou National Art College, the former China Academy of Art. After graduatiing in 1952, he was appointed to the faculty, making prominent contributions to Chinese art education.
This exhibition, which is scheduled to run until the end of this month, features the artist’s greatest achievements, with a list of such renowned works as "The Late Autumn" and "Flower and Squirrel Playing with Bamboo."
