"Fine Art Beijing" is another event presented by the Art Beijing Executive Committee following the success of its annual contemporary art fair, Art Beijing, and its photography art fair "Photo Beijing."

The fine art fair aims to provide an efficient means of promoting Chinese culture and traditional art through a combination of classical art resources from home and abroad.

Sponsored by Mercedes-Benz, the inaugural "Fine Art Beijing" will run from November 6 to 9, 2009, at the Agricultural Exhibition Center, where famous art galleries and institutions from around the globe will display their classical art treasures.

The fair will cover major categories of fine art, including oil painting, ink and wash painting, print painting, watercolor painting, sketch painting and antique arts. It will provide a high-end platform for exchange and transaction of classical artworks. Several sub-exhibitions, such as the Ink Painting Exhibition, Sketches Exhibition, and Classical Print Exhibition, will be held simultaneously to give visitors a pleasant visual feast.
