As the longest total solar eclipse this century swept through China on Wednesday morning, director Stanley Kwan and cinematographer Christopher Doyle planned to feature this rare astronomical phenomenon in their new film, "Energy behind the Heart."

The production of the film has been underway in the Eastern Chinese city of Shanghai, the best area to witness the eclipse spectacle.
Cameras were set up in various places to take advantage of the scene. If they failed to shoot the eclipse due to the weather, the production team will acquire file footage, sohu.com quotes Stanley Kwan as saying.
"Energy behind the Heart" tells the story of six young acrobats in the 1930's who are accidentally sent forward to the year 2010. Kwan plans to relate the solar eclipse to the film's time disorder, the report said.
