American pop singer singer Rihanna will make her first performance in September since being assaulted by her then-lover Chris Brown six months ago, according to media reports Monday.
The "Umbrella" singer will appear on the debut of The Jay Leno Show, together with hip-hop stars Kanye West and Jay-Z to perform their new single, "Run This Town" on Sept. 14.
Rihanna has kept a low profile since she was assaulted by Brown outside an awards ceremony in February.
Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault on Rihanna in June and is expected to be sentenced to five years' probation and six months of community labor in August.
Brown apologized to Rihanna in a video statement on July 20, saying he accepted "full responsibility" and expressed his "deepest regret" over the attack which left 21-year-old Rihanna with facial injuries.
Rihanna is said to be "still in love" with the R&B singer and recently announced that she wants Chris' court order downgraded to a level-one protective restraining order, which would prevent Chris from annoying, molesting or harassing her.
