"Mad Men" won its second consecutive prize for best drama series at the 61st annual Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony Sunday night at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.

"We all want to thank the voting members of the academy for recognizing our show again," said "Mad Men" creator Matthew Weiner. "We work very hard to not have it stink the second year and we're very proud to be here."

"I want to thank these incredible people behind me," he said, gesturing to the cast and crew that gathered on stage to celebrate the show's win.

"Everybody says their show's a family ... but we literally spend all this time together, we fight all the time. Everybody works so hard and I'm glad that the show got its recognition."
