The Valley of the Communities at Yad Vashem. This 2.5-acre labyrinth, dug out of the natural bedrock, roughly corresponds to the geographic arrangement of the map of Europe and North Africa. Engraved on the walls that rise above 30 feet are the names of the thousands of Jewish communities destroyed and decimated during the Holocaust.
