Microsoft Senior Executive to Leave for eBay

Microsoft China is losing another senior executive after Li Kaifu's recent departure for Google. Martin Wu, the CMO of Microsoft China will leave the company next month, to take up the position of CEO of eBay.

Microsoft said Martin Wu will actually leave the company on September 16. EBay Chief Executive expressed his welcome to Martin Wu, saying he will help eBay secure its leading position in Chinese market with his rich experience and knowledge in sales and marketing.

Meanwhile, Microsoft says they are planning to hire more than 800 new employees in the new financial year, with half of them going to research and development.
