The producer price for China's industrial products went up 5.3 percent year-on-year in August, 0.1 percentage point higher than that in July, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
An NBS report released Friday in Beijing said the producer price for means of production went up 7.3 percent in August over the same period last year, while that of livelihood went down 0.3 percent year-on-year.
In a breakdown, the producer price for crude oil climbed 36.2 percent over the same period last year, contributing to an overall increase of 1.2 percentage points in the producer price.
The producer price for gasoline, kerosene, and diesel climbed 32.8 percent, 22.8 percent, and 26.4 percent, respectively.
The producer price for the sector of coal mining and dressing rose 23.6 percent year-on-year, and that for coal went up 23.7 percent.
The producer price for China's industrial products in the January-August period rose 5.5 percent. The purchasing price of raw materials, fuel, and power increased 9.5 percent in the same period.
