Chinese Vice Premier Huang Ju met Tuesday in Beijing with the participants of the Seventh International Advisory Council Meeting of China Development Bank (CDB), and encouraged them to raise their opinions on how to enlarge the role of the development finance and continue to support the reform of the bank.
Huang said China's economy has continuously maintained sound and fast development this year, and the goals set up in the Tenth Five-year Plan have been achieved ahead of time.
He noted that China will firmly hold a scientific concept to guide social and economic development during the Eleventh Five-year Program, put people first, and find a new growth-mode for comprehensive and sustainable development.
Huang said the CDB is China's development finance institution, and has played a significant role in supporting China's key areas for economic development such as infrastructure, and pillar industries.
Paul Keating, former Australian prime minister, said he would like to contribute to the improvement of the CDB's unique role in China's economy.
