North China's Tianjin Municipality has made great efforts in exploring overseas economic cooperation, which recorded a 332 percent year-on-year increase this April in overseas projects, labor service and design consultancy.
In April, Tianjin earned contract volumes totaling US$41.81 million from overseas projects, supply of labor and design consultation. And its overseas business volume in April hit36.3 million US dollars, up 12 percent year-on-year.
During the first four months of the year, such contract volumes stood at US$139.46 million, up 22 percent over the same period last year, and overseas business volume topped 128.26 million US dollars, up 27.6 percent.
The city supplied a workforce totaling 1,713 people for overseas labor markets in the same period, up 46 percent year-on-year.
During the first four months, Tianjin set up a total of 19 enterprises and organs overseas and launched a group of overseas projects with investment totaling US$31.34 million, up 100percent year-on-year.
