Wei Jianxing, chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU), met Wednesday with Cu Thi Hau, president of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Wei, also member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, said the ACFTU highly values its friendly relations with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as the two countries are friendly neighbors.
Wei noted the friendship and friendly cooperation between the trade unions of the two countries have grown satisfactorily since 1991.
As China and Vietnam have similar national conditions, both upholding the leadership of communist party and the socialist road and both committed to reform, opening-up and economic construction,their friendly cooperative relations will have new and healthy development so long as the two sides make joint efforts, Wei stressed.
Cu Thi Hau extended congratulations on the great achievements the CPC has scored in the 80 years since its establishment. She stressed that the trade unions and workers of Vietnam and China have a profound friendship and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor pays special attention to further promoting friendly relations with the All-China Federation of Trade Unions.
