Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi showed up at the debut of House of Flying Dagger at the Los Angeles International Film Festival Sunday night.

Zhang Yimou's successful protegee dressed in exquisite Armani evening wear and caused a frenzy of flashbulbs and riots among paparazzi, China Radio International reported Monday.
   
She is currently engaged in the shooting of Memoirs of A Geisha in Los Angeles.
   
The Los Angeles International Film Festival is held by the American Film Institute is believed to be a foreshadowing of OSCAR night.
   
House of Flying Daggers will debut across America on December 3.
