Border officials in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, have started issuing expatriate residence permit stickers for their passports instead of books to make it easier for foreigners to enter, the Shenzhen Daily reports.
Previously, expatriates who worked or studied in Shenzhen had to carry both the passport and the residence permit to go through border procedures. Now they just show their passports with the sticker at the border checkpoint.
The stickers do not need to be reviewed annually.
