During the past weekend, Beijing's Fragrant Hills were packed with passionate residents visiting the ongoing Red Leaf Festival, which lasts until November 6.
Sunday's perfect sunny weather apparently piqued people's desire to enjoy the red maples. On Sunday morning, around 8 AM, a local traffic radio station reported that roads linking the city with the Fragrant Hills to the northwest, were already jammed, and that parking areas at the Hills were also full.
The sight of mountains blanketed with red leaves is generally considered to be the most beautiful scene during Beijing's fall. However, being crammed amongst crowds, amidst the beautiful red maples, is by no means a pleasure.
