China Southern Airlines is to suspend flights from Beijing via Urumqi to Sharjah from Apr. 5.
Since the start of the war in Iraq, the number of passengers has fallen sharply, said Zhang Hong, general manager of the passenger service department.
Zhang said, the company would resume the flights depending on future events.
Boeing 757 aircraft flew three weekly flights on the route with an average occupancy rate of more than 70 percent before the war.
