Chinese scientist Li Can has received the International Catalysis Award on the 13th International Congress on Catalysis or ICC in Paris.
Reports say the 44-year-old Chinese scientist is the first from a developing country to pick up the award, which is also the highest prize a Chinese scientist has earned in that field.
The ICC hands out prizes outstanding young scientists in the catalysis field.
It has been held at four-yearly intervals since 1956 in various venues in Europe, America and Asia. (Photo Source: sina.com.cn)
