Taiwan singer and actress, Rene Liu, is busy planning her heavyweight album for this year, A Whole Year, to be released on December 9. 

The theme song of the new album, The Light, reveals Liu's innermost world of feelings. The pop singer explains that she likes music so much but is afraid of it at the same time, because her lyrics always leak into her heart.

Rene Liu's Chinese tour, which she has dubbed Sleepless Princess, will open in Shanghai on November 18, later coming to Beijing.

The star has been invited to be the cover girl for Maire Claire magazine in December. In her cover shot Liu tries on a decadent British rocker style.

Liu's last year's album, Hearsay, was a big success with 6 million records worth of sales on the Chinese mainland and her role in Feng Xiaogang's film, No Thief, costaring Hong Kong big name Andy Lau, also won her the Best Actress Award at the Annual Hong Kong Film Festival.
