China Northern Airlines announced Thursday in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province, that it will schedule 409 flights from April 28 to May 8 during the upcoming week-long May Day holiday.
Services include international flights linking the Chinese cities of Kunming, Haikou, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Guilin with overseas destinations such as Seoul, Bangkok and Nagoya. About 218 chartered flights are also scheduled.
The airline said that domestic flights and chartered flights would also be available during the holiday period. It would mainly focus on flights linking scenic resorts.
Traveling during the long holidays of the Spring Festival, May Day and National Day has become a trend among many Chinese people.
