Communication University of China made its debut here Tuesday, aiming to be a high-level, modernized, world-famous university dedicated to information communication.
At the 50th anniversary of founding of Beijing Broadcasting University (BBU), the BBU changed its name to the Communication University of China.
Addressing the ceremony, Chinese State Councilor Chen Zhili sang high praises for achievements BBU has scored over the past 50 years.

As a prestigious university, the BBU has engaged in fostering talents for the mass media of radio and television broadcasting, film making, Internet communication and publication with in-depth scientific research.
