Music Celebrates China, Norway Friendship

It's been 50 years since China and Norway established diplomatic ties. On Friday night, a concert was held in Beijing's Forbidden City Concert Hall to commemorate the anniversary. Artists from both countries staged a wonderful show to entertain the local audience.

The concert opened with Norwegian composer Edward Grieg's symphonic suite "Peer Gynt", played by the Norway Radio Symphony Orchestra. Founded in 1946, this nationally renowned Norwegian orchestra is on its first visit to China.

In a tribute to Chinese music, the orchestra also played the famous Erhu solo "The Moon Reflected on two Fountains" during the concert.
