The biography of the late president of China's official wire service, Xinhua News Agency, was recently published by the Xinhua Publishing House.

Mu Qing is prestigious for his numerous outstanding journalistic works reflecting the revolutionary war years of China and the country's socialist revolution and construction during the past decades. Many of the heroes portrayed in his works have become models for the Chinese people, such as Jiao Yulu, a former county Party secretary who devoted his life to improving the living standards of local people in central China's Henan Province.

The book depicts the life story of the top Chinese journalist, according to the publisher.
