A Chinese acrobatic version of the western ballet classic Swan Lake is to open in Shanghai's Grand Theatre on March 25th.
A joint effort by the Guangzhou Soldiers Acrobatics Troupe and the Shanghai Metropolitan Dance Company, it will wow the audiences with both acrobatic skills and the graceful style of the western ballet.
According to the writer Zhao Ming, the acrobatic show will retains the music and plot of the original ballet play, but mixing in unique acrobatic moves created especially for this performance.
The show will run for 20 performances but the acrobats have already been invited to perform in several countries around the world.
