China and France signed an agreement on Friday with the aim of cultivating China's budding film prodigies.
According to the agreement, the French Film Academy (Beijing Branch) will be established by France's Coservatoire Libre Du Cinema Francais and Florent Cours and the China Film Foundation.
The academy plans to start recruiting students from around the nation on May 1. Selected students will study French and undergo basic film training during their first year in Beijing and then study in France for another two years.
