Publishing houses run by the Chinese military have published more than 120 publications to mark the 60th anniversary of the end of the World War II (1939-1945) and China's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1937-45).
Many of these books received warm response from local readers at the just-concluded 15th National Book Fair, which was sponsored by the State Administration of Press and Publications (SAPP).
These publications include panoramic reports, biographies on Chinese war heroes and history books.
By August, military publishers are expected to publish as many as 180 books dealing with the war, according to SAPP sources.
