The Beijing Contemporary Music Festival has opened at the Central Conservatory of Music. Musicians from various countries will offer lectures to the students, and several concerts are scheduled to be held.
8 composers from China, France and the US, averaging the age of 26, will give a concert to present their experimental works of music created by combining classical and contemporary elements. A Jazz band from North Europe and folk music artists from South Korea and Vietnam have also been invited to this festival.
From this Wednesday on, the music festival will last for a week with four performances every day.
