Butterfly Specimen Exhibition Benefits Students

Xinglong County in north China's Hebei Province has staged a large-scale butterfly specimen exhibition, which was warmly welcomed by the primary and middle school students.

The exhibition is aimed to stimulate popular science education and spread knowledge on environmental protection among the youngsters, said the organizing committee of the exhibition.

Meanwhile, the exhibition targets at inspiring the imagination and creativity of the youngsters and arouse the awareness of the environmental protection, the source said.

The butterfly specimen on display were representative works chosen from more than 10,000 varieties worldwide, including the excellent butterfly varieties from Japan, Malaysia and the South American countries.

In addition, more than 1,000 pieces of insect specimen as well as insect fossils, butterfly and insect stamps were put on show at the exhibition.
