The first national campus literature forum will be held in Shenzhen from Nov. 18 through 22. Noted campus writers, including Li Shasha, Yan Ge and Jiang Fangzhou, will participate in the forum.
In Shenzhen, there are a total of 160 high school student literature associations, which publish more than 2,000 stories every year.
The forum will review local campus literature, especially stories by the post-80s and post-90s generation in Shenzhen, and the relationship of electronic culture and the growth of juveniles.
On Nov. 19, Vice President of Beijing Writers' Association and Beijing University professor Cao Wenxuan, vice president of Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles Yang Honghai, and noted critics Bai Ye and Xie Youshun will participate in the forum in the conference hall at Shenzhen Press Tower.
Teachers of campus writers Zhang Yueran, Li Shasha, Jiang Fangzhou, Yu Xiu and Zhang Xini will join the forums Nov. 20 and 21, discussing how their students developed into successful writers.
The forum, one of the major activities of the Reading Month, is organized by the China Writers' Association, National Chinese Language Education Research Association, Shenzhen Education Bureau, Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Shenzhen Special Zone Daily.
