Books on Late RCCK Chairman Published

A workshop was held here Thursday on two newly published books, the Biography of Li Jishen and Pictured Biography of Li Jishen, in memory of the 120th anniversary of the birth of the late chairman of the Revolutionary Committee of Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK).

He Luli, vice chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and chairperson of the RCCK Central Committee, attended the workshop, at the Great Hall of the People, in central Beijing.

In an address, the RCCK leader recalled the life of Li Jishen (1885-1959), speaking highly of his contribution to the independence and and emancipation of the Chinese nation.

She called the two books which are comprised of pictures and files as "full and accurate records" of Li's patriotic, revolutionary and ceaselessly progressive life.

Liu Yandong, vice chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and head of the United Front Department of the Communist Party of China, sent a message of congratulations to the publishers of the two biographies.

The speakers also included other senior leaders of the CPPCC National Committee, the RCCK Central Committee and the Central Committee of China Association for Promoting Democracy, as well asLi Peiyu, the son of the late RCCK leader.
