Rainstorms have hit many parts of south China's Hunan Province in the last three days, affecting nearly 1 million people.
Since June 23, storms have ravaged northwest and central west parts of Hunan, causing floods on some rivers and displacing more than 10,000 people and cutting off nine highways.
The local meteorological department forecasts between 30 mm to 90 mm of rain in the next three days in the central north part of the province.
In some areas, precipitation could reach 160 mm and severe flooding is possible.
