The Iranian government supports Indonesia's firm stance to oppose the US-led military attack on its neighboring Iraq, Iranian Ambassador to Indonesia Shaban Sahidi said here Wednesday.
Describing the US attack an erroneous move, Sahidi said "if they (US leaders) had wisdom, they would not repeat the attack for the second time."
Speaking to reporters after having a meeting with Indonesian House Speaker Akbar Tandjung at the parliament compound here, the Iranian envoy condemned the attack because it claims the lives of civilians.
On the same occasion, Akbar said that Iran praised the common view between the Indonesian government and parliament to strongly condemn the US-led unilateral action against Iraq.
